My process includes entering into a dialogue with the material as I explore its physical properties and structural capabilities.
By exploring the specific traits unique to the media I work with, the final form evolves organically from the material itself.
The abstract sculptural works which incorporate seriality involves hand-making each piece by following a repetitive action which builds the final work. Each piece bears its own unique characteristics, taking its place within a community of others. The completed works create a field of visual imagery with biomorphic qualities evoking natural phenomena.
