Connecting People, Place and Memory Through Art
Anne Blair-Hickman is a visual artist, museum educator and community arts practitioner based in regional New South Wales, Australia.
Through painting, drawing, photography and participatory arts practice, Anne explores themes of memory, place, ageing and belonging.
Her work is informed by both her studio practice and her role as Education Officer at the New England Regional Art Museum, where she develops creative programs that connect people of all ages with art, stories and community.
Deeply inspired by the landscapes and communities she encounters, Anne is interested in how art can foster connection, spark conversation and create a sense of belonging. Whether working in the studio, facilitating creative experiences in museums and community settings, or documenting everyday moments through sketchbooks and photography, her practice is grounded in curiosity, observation and the stories that shape our lives.
Through her work, Anne seeks to create spaces where people can reflect, connect and engage with the memories, places and experiences that define who they are.
